Telkom University Wins the 2018 Internet of Things Challenge Competition (ICC)

IoT Challenge Competition is one of the branches of competition in EE Days 2018, organized by the ITB Electrotechnics Student Association. This competition challenges participants to come up with creative ideas based on IoT technology in the energy sector. Participants will then be challenged to realize these ideas using unique methods prepared by the committee. The theme of this competition is Smart Energy for Smart Future.
Ibrahim Hasan, M. Arif Putra, and Satrya Budi Pratama are student representatives from Telkom University who won second place in the event. IoT Challenge Competition. They brought up the topic of IoT-based Hybrid Renewable Energy and Smart Systems. Their device integrates solar energy with solar panels, radio frequency energy with antennas, and vibration energy with piezoelectrics to convert it to DC voltage. This device can also collect data such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, wind direction, and wind speed. These environmental parameter data are displayed in real time on a local website with a platform. NodeJS with protocol data MQTT And protocol communication WiFi.
Hopefully, the victories achieved by Ibrahim Hasan, M. Arif Putra, and Satrya Budi Pratama will inspire us to come up with ideas that will facilitate our participation in competitions. They will also be more courageous in participating in existing competitions and confident in achieving victory.
